"A Day in the Life with My Pregnant Wife — The Good, The Cravings, and The Vacuuming"

Intro:

Just Us — Real Life, No Filters.

Hey, I’m Edgar — if you follow me over on Instagram (@actnow_health), you’ve probably seen my wife Yessica and I doing everything from late-night snack runs to testing healthy juice recipes. This year’s been wild — I lost my job, we found out we’re having a baby, and I started documenting our life, hoping to build something meaningful through our Amazon storefront and wellness blog.

This isn’t one of those “perfect routine” posts. This is our day-to-day. Real stuff. Crumbs on the counter, cereal at 2am, swollen feet, and a whole lot of love. Here’s a peek at one of our days — start to finish.

Morning:

The Egg Sandwich That Says “I Love You”

I don’t always know when Yessica will wake up craving something... but I do know I better be ready. Most mornings start with me prepping a quick egg sandwich or juice. She may not even eat it, but it’s there. You learn to think ahead when your wife is growing your baby.

I usually make one of our go-to juices — pineapple, orange, turmeric, ginger. Boosts immunity and keeps us both feeling good. (Side note: we use this blender every single day. You can find it here. Trust me, it blends frozen fruit like a beast.)

While she eats, we talk — about baby names, what’s on the schedule, and sometimes nothing at all. Just sit. Breathe. Sip.

Midday:

If I’m Vacuuming, She’s Probably Filming.

By noon, I’m usually in chore mode. Something about her belly getting bigger makes me notice the things we haven’t cleaned or fixed. So I grab the vacuum. And of course, she’s filming.

You’ll probably see these reels on our page — I’m focused, fixing backsplash tiles, and she’s behind the camera giggling while dropping one-liners like “pregnancy really brings out the handyman in him.”

We’ve made a habit of turning everyday life into content, not in a fake way — in a “this is us” way. Our home isn’t always tidy, our camera angles aren’t perfect, but that’s what makes it worth sharing.

Lunch:

Spicy Potatoes & Amazon Dreams.

Lunch is usually something simple but full of flavor. One of Yessica’s favorites lately is our spicy chipotle potatoes — they’re creamy, tangy, a little spicy and made with pantry staples. And let’s just say… they don’t last long.

After lunch, I sit down to work on our Amazon page. No lie — we’ve been doing this for months and haven’t seen a single sale. But I’m learning. Building. Growing. I believe in what we’re doing. And I believe that if I show up every day — for her, for our baby, for our community — it’ll pay off.

Afternoon:

Content, Cravings, and Couch Talk.

This is usually when things slow down a bit. Yessica rests — sometimes she scrolls, sometimes she journals, sometimes she just lays there with the fan on her belly like it’s the best thing in the world.

I’ll usually grab some fruit, edit a reel, or answer DMs. We try to engage with every person who comments. If you’ve messaged us, just know we see it. And we appreciate it.

We talk a lot in the afternoons — about how weird and wonderful life is. About how we’ve changed since becoming parents (even before the baby’s here). About dreams, fears, and food. Always food.

Evening:

Cereal at 2AM, But Make It Cozy.

Dinner’s usually chill. One of us cooks while the other plays DJ. The lights are dim, the vibes are right, and if it’s pasta night — we’re both eating seconds.

After dinner, we cuddle up and watch The Office. And like clockwork, she’ll want a snack around midnight… or 2AM. That’s our realest reel ever — her munching cereal in bed while I pretend to be asleep. I usually end up eating half the bowl anyway.

We joke that our unborn baby already loves cold milk and sitcoms. And maybe they do.

Closing Thoughts:

We’re Just Getting Started.

This isn’t a blog to impress you. It’s a love letter to our life right now. The messy, funny, cozy, beautiful chaos of it all.

If you’re a couple building something from scratch… if you’ve ever failed at a side hustle… if you’ve ever stood in the kitchen at 2AM eating cereal with the love of your life — we see you.

Thanks for being here.
Thanks for following us.
Thanks for letting us be real.

Until tomorrow,
– Edgar (& Yessica in the background saying “add more juice recipes next time”)
